CQC have already changed the way they are inspecting Providers of Adult Social Care.
There is now a greater emphasis upon the provider to make available evidence to CQC as part of the Direct Monitoring Approach (DMA) on compliance with the HSCA 2008.
We provide inspections for all health and social care providers, covering residential care homes (with and without nursing care) domiciliary and supported living services, GP practices and private clinics including cosmetic surgery clinics.
The best way to prepare for an actual CQC inspection is to organise a mock inspection with our team. With an onsite visit, we can identify potential regulation breaches and any other areas of improvement. We will work with you to tailor the inspection to your area of service provision and individual requirements. The inspection will be undertaken by one of our compliance experts, who will have an in-depth knowledge and experience of your service area.
The mock CQC inspection is designed to best replicate the actual CQC inspection process. It will include interviews with staff and service users, a comprehensive series of audits and checks carried out by a compliance expert. The audit will incorporate the new SAF (Single Assessment Framework) covering the 6 key themes for inspection and the new Quality Statements
You will also receive a report following your mock inspection. This will identify any potential breaches against the framework, areas for improvement and an action plan going forward. We will work together to resolve any issues we spot, in preparation for your actual CQC inspection, so you are assured that your service is up to scratch.
We provide inspections for all health and social care providers, covering residential care homes (with and without nursing care) domiciliary and supported living services, GP practices and private clinics including cosmetic surgery clinics.
One Day onsite inspections start at £900.00
Two Day onsite inspections start at £1050.00
We are also able to support you longer term with best practice care planning, audit tools as well as advice and guidance
Parkview Nursing Home
“We requested Hugh and his team to carry out an audit of both of our specialised Care Homes. The audits were tough and very concise. Hugh then followed up with any queries we had and supported us through the process of any pitfalls he found in our service. Shortly after his audit we were visited by the CQC. Hugh then supported us again to devise a robust action plan for the Commissioners. We received a GOOD Rating from the CQC and credit Hugh and his team in helping us achieve this via their very upfront and honest judgments of our service.”
Anglia Community Eye Service
In 2016 ACES invited Compass NE back to oversee our systems and processes as the way CQC inspected had changed. The report from Compass NE highlighted a lot of areas that required improvement and was quite a shock but we took this on board and made the improvements suggested by Compass NE. In April 2017 we were informed by CQC that we would be inspected in September. We didn’t contact Compass NE as we were fairly confident we knew what we had to do. The inspections took place, we were inspected as a ‘Trust’ even though we are a very small provider in the community. We achieved a rating of ‘Good’ in all areas and ‘Outstanding’ for care in our Cromwell Road facility.
Without the insight, help and support from Compass NE it might have been a very different story.
By using our “Critical Friend” Inspection we can help and support you to prepare for the arrival of the CQC and validate your current systems.

Day 3
Report and Action Plan
A report will be compiled of the visit with an improvement plan designed to help you meet and then maintain compliance with the Fundamental Standards of Care and the KLOE.
